Day 9 - June 19 - Beverly Hills-Pasadena We started the day with reading a book. Then went to visit Halina an old relative who lives in Tarzana. No, did not hear monkeys, only chickens and dogs in the neighbors backyard. Lots of beautiful flowers and very sour little oranges called cumquats.
We the drove to Pasadena. On the way, tried it find a place we located on the internet that sold model cars. We found the building, but nobody ever heard of the company. We called the phone number listed, but nobody answered. Maybe it was a fake company?
By then, we were very hungry at 1 pm. Nana's favorite place to eat and do grocery shopping is at Bristol Farms. I ate a chili burger. Nana had chicken burger. Papa had an omelet.
From there, went to check into motel. By then it was 6 pm, so went to Old Pasadena to check out Vromans Bookstore. We had a chance to listen to an author talk about some books she wrote for young adults. I didn't understand all she was trying to tell us. Many of the people there had read her other books so maybe knew more about what she was talking about.
