Day 11 - June 21 - Pasadena-San Luis Obispo. Not too many photos today. Went to church at St. Philip, which is near Pasadena City College. Very good choir. We had special music from organ player after mass. He played fast and loud :-)
After, we were on our way to Huntington Botanical Gardens. On the way there saw many nice homes with fancy cars in the driveway.
From there it was off to visit some of Papa's friends, Katherine and Mark, or in Polish Kasia and Marek. I learned about how they met when they were about 16 years old in Poland. They were special fighters against the German soldiers during World War 2.
We also met their son, Janek and his wife Asia. They were showing us pictures of their trip to Japan and China. Maybe some day I can go there too.
They served us dinner of good pizza and ice cream. Of course the ice cream came after.
Then we took a long drive to our next motel stop which was about 200 miles away. We were lucky and get in just after midnight.
